چکیده
Abstract Reconstructing the tectonic architecture of southern Altaids is great importance to piece together continental growth history Central Asian continent. In this paper, we address subduction‐accretion process Paleo‐Tianshan Ocean, one branch South Tianshan in Altaids, through a detailed geological and geochemical investigation Wulanmoren Accretionary Complex (WAC). The WAC composed ophiolitic mélanges, ocean plate stratigraphy turbiditic coherent units. study, present key geological, petrological, evidence indicating back‐arc island affinity igneous rocks WAC. Zircon U‐Pb dates these ages range between 380.2 ± 1.3 302.0 5.3 Ma. sedimentary matrix units mélanges were deposited Early Devonian (∼405 Ma) Late Triassic (∼222 Ma), rather than Silurian strata as previously thought. However, some detrital zircons are Precambrian, pointing complex evolution involving multiple terrains arcs different that accreted from mid‐Paleozoic Mesozoic.

15 صفحه اولGeohistory Analysis of the Tabas Block (Abdoughi-Parvadeh Basins) as Seen from the Late Triassic through Early Cretaceous Subsidence Curves
The study area is situated in the Middle part of the Tabas Block. It contains outcrops of rocks that formed along longitudinal faults in Early Cimmerian orogenic phase. The basin subsided along these faults from the Late Triassic to Early Cretaceous, which include two sedimentary cycles. A sedimentary cycle, related to Upper Triassic to Bajocian is known as Shemshak group. Another sedimentary c...
متن کاملGeochemical Characteristics and Hydrocarbon Generation Modelling of Early Triassic to Late Cretaceous Formations within Ogaden Basin, Ethiopia
The major goal of this study is the evaluation of the source rock of Ogaden Basin using Rock-Eval Pyrolysis, Vitrinite reflectance (%Ro), and well log data of the Permo-Triassic and the Mesozoic sequences including Karro, Hamanlei, and Urandab Formations. Burial history and level of thermal maturity of the Bodle-1 well, the Calub-1 well and the Hilala-2 well were modeled based on the calibratio...
متن کاملPartial high-pressure aragonitization of micritic limestones in an accretionary complex, Tavşanlı Zone, NW Turkey
Pelagic micritic limestones within an upper Cretaceous accretionary complex in the Tavşanlı Zone, NW Turkey, preserve textures indicating incomplete prograde transformation of micritic calcite to aragonite, representing the only known example of this type. Aragonitization starts at the central parts of the micritic limestone beds and advances towards the lower and upper parts of the layers at t...
